Memorable Moments: Yan Lo and his ancestors and Mei Feng and her foundry workers moved towards clashed on the outskirts of town, fighting not only to expand their boarders but also to hopefully leave behind some corrupted idols in the aftermath. Mei Feng moved forward quickly taking control over the center of the battle field, leaving a plethora of strategy marks along the center line and into Yan Lo controlled territory. Yan Lo who had ordered his minions and ancestors to advance to meet the enemy head on, seemed to falter giving Manos enough time to ignore his orders and move away from the fighting and towards a corner of the battlefield where he felt the presence of an idol, and he hid it just into enemy territory. Mei Feng sensing Yan Lo's wavering confidence advanced passed the center to engage Yan Lo's forces. The Metal Golem went off the rails charging into both Izamu and a Kominu and quickly dealt with the Kominu. Mei was next charging into Izamu in hopes of finishing him off but he was able to weather the flurry of attacks and mount a counter attack of his own. Yan Lo weak and feeble stayed just out of reach of the fighting trying to use his dark magics to widdle down his opponents but to not much avail. The fighting continued as many broke off into pairs as they challenged their opponents, Mei Feng was able to finish off Izamu but his essence was transferred into one of Yan Lo's Gokudo. With a point of one withered finger Yan Lo brought back Izamu, sacrificing the gokudo in the process. However from the shadows another gokudo joined the fray. With Izamu tying up both Mei Feng and Kang and Yan Lo and a second gokudo providing support, the Soul Porter was able to make his way around the fighting and towards the center of the battlefield just in time to pull a sneaking Manos to the centermost point leaving Mei Feng surrounded. Mei Feng was able to withdraw most of her forces just as Manos moved into position, promising Yan Lo that he may have won the battle today but next time he would not be so lucky...

It was a great game points wise we were very close and there were plenty of points where the game could have gone either way. Yan Lo's crews hardiness was able to stave off the amazing mobility of Mei Feng's crew. I got lucky with some key flips when the Metal Golem went off the rails along with when Mei Feng laid into Izamu. Doug was able to push my more aggro list into playing very defensive and made the first 2-3 turns super difficult for me to score or gain any ground. It was a great match, hope to play you again Doug!

Memorable Moments: Rasputina and the Cult of December created a field of ice pillars in the middle of the field slowing Yan Lo and his ancestors advance except for the Silver Samurai himself Izamu the Armor. Ice magics plinked off his armor as he strolled through the field of ice until he finally caught sight of Rasputina herself. Yan Lo ordered Izamu to charge forward and strike down the winter witch and with four swings of his mighty nagamaki, Rasputina was defeated and she retreated back up her mountain to regroup and prepare a counter attack.

However as all this was going on one of Rasputina's hoarcats snuck behind enemy lines waiting for its moment to strike, while Chiaki and one of Yan Lo's gokudos attempted their own sneak attack. This attack would prove more difficult as one of Rasputina's Acolytes spotted them and a blood bath ensued: the gokudo drawing first blood but was unable to finish off the acolyte, the acolyte ended the gokudo taking control of a corner position before being finish off and replaced by Chiaki as she drained the acolyte's essence. As Chiaki attempted to catch her breath the Wendigo appeared and took a savage swip into Chiaki leaving her on the brink of death before being called back by Rasputina.

All in all the match was really close though out the game and really could have gone either way, as the game really boiled down to who went first going into round 5. Great match can't wait for the rematch!!

    Memorable Moments:

Lord Cooper sends his hunting party after the remnants of a Neverborn village in ruin. Nekima gathers her forces in hopes of preventing Lord Cooper from hunting the last survivors of the village. The shamans prepare a sacrifice to help ensure their victory against the apex predators. Nekima, sensing Lord Cooper is close by, charges head first into a long battle with the predator. Cooper, thinking  he can withstand the punishment, holds off the nephilim forces, while his predators surround the village. The shaman filled with rage over what he is seeing, transforms into a mature nephilim and charges at Cooper hoping to turn the tide. In the end, Cooper's hunters couldn't hold on as they saw their master fall at the hands of the enraged nephilim.

Memorable Moments: Shenlong, desperate to stay alive, avoided death four times while on 1 hit point left. Watching Mei Feng’s crew throw a Black Joker and two aces while trying to smite him, Shenlong repeated lept away and healed himself. Truly earning his “Hard to Kill” trait.

Memorable Moments: The Brewmaster set up "Pub Ranger" near a Ten Thunders camp run by the Honeypot group. Eager to get the party started Wesley and his Moon Shinobi loaded the Whiskey Gamin with Hooch while the Brewmaster tied one (or several) on as well.

Lynch seemed to take umbrage with the Gremlin's placement of volatile alcohol around the area and had his illuminated minions and a large beast he called "huggy" destroy a Whiskey Gamin. In response to the loss of good booze the Brewmaster lured an illuminated out of the fray and boxed his ears until the minion was out of commission.

Lynch and Huggy used a devastating combo to break Cooper Jones's barrel. The Brewmaster had enough of this and removed the Hungering Dark beast from battle. The rest of the gremlins and Honeypotters had finished setting up for a wicked party, so in the end both factions let bygones be bygones and got seriously plastered.

After a week of heading deep into The Badlands, Justin Cooper washed down the last of his bacon and beans dinner with a large swig of beer. Having made camp in the shadows of a larger ruined complex, his Vatagi were pitching the last of the tents to hunker down for the night. Cooper knew the newly discovered layer under Malifaux City was important, but he had to follow up on his prey out here first.
The Other Side was downright eerie at night. And just as Cooper was turning his gaze to the night sky, Ullr and Artemis raised their heads to the South and began growling. Ear perked, noses twitching Cooper knew this behavior and learned to trust their instincts. Peering into the darkness on the perimeter of his camp, he saw it.
As if from out of thin air, a tavern bar appeared! Odd mechanical contraptions were preparing drinks and cocktails for unseen patrons. The strength of the alcohol must have been potent, as he he could now smell it strongly on the wind. Cackling creatures emerged...gremlins...slinging bottles, tankards, tables and chairs. The cacophony of their screechy laughter filled the night air as the quickly, very quickly, began to move towards the camp and the surrounding ruins.
“Get to it! Arty, go! Ivan, Gregor, to the flanks! Nine, go with...” but the agile automaton was already in motion, running just behind Artemis, blades in hand. Ullr’s intimidating presence was just ahead of Cooper, growling fiercely at the oncoming intruders.
“May as well search these ruins now before these gremlins make off with anything. C’mon lad, let’s hold down the center and give these Runaways a sporting chance!” Cooper chambered a round of .950 ammo into his Super Nitro Express and ran after Ullr, whose howls were echoed from Artemis ahead. “These things are fast!” Cooper said while beading his aim on a Gremlin Ninja thing. It was too far away but not close enough to overcome the stealthiness the creature employed.
Many odd sights were seen in this scrum!
Notably, the booze-filled constructs seem to feed off one another, one intoxicating the other! The bar in the back provided cover for them as they moved and moved across the sandy ground.
Many of the Gremlins, balancing on chairs and stools, ran from ruin to ruin, scouring and searching for artifacts, claiming the structures as their own.
There was a fierce fight in the center along a magical ley line of Malifaux. Both Crews claiming some of its potency for their side.
However it was Artemis and Model 9, moving quickly up the right flank and deep into enemy territory that managed to claim the ruins there for Cooper, finding artifacts and leaving their mark behind.

Marking his Prey, Lord Cooper began denying the Gremlins some of their markers while slowly taking out his targets one by one. Ullr, valiantly fending off a particularly nasty looking Gremlin while his Master decapitated the poor thing from about 30 yards away.
And while Lord Cooper’s Crypsis Corps snipers held his flanks, one soul met such an unfortunate end!
The Brewmaster, as he would later learn, got within ranges of Gregor, the sniper on his right. The Brewmaster somehow beckoned the man to him, perhaps tempted him with an offer of his amazing moonshine. And as the man got close, he was infused...drowned almost...in the high proof alcohol. Gregor seemed to suffer a lifetime’s worth of drinking in the blink of an eye! He fell to his knees, beyond intoxicated and near a booze driven critical mass. After a few moments, the man’s liver could stand no more, and burst within! The toxic drink coursing in his blood seemed to damage every organ in the man’s body. In the end, Gregor fell forward dead, succumbing to the alcoholic poison in his veins. This seemed all the more horrendous as The Brewmaster stood over him.
With a few more of the Gremlin and Contraptions dispatched, The Brewmaster signaled a retreat. The creatures disappeared into the night just as quickly as they appeared. But not empty handed. The Bayou absconded off with many of the secrets Cooper intended to discover. He only just, by the skin of his teeth, may have discovered more.

    Memorable Moments:
Closing in on Wu Xing, the ghastly form of Kitty Dumont bathed the area in a haunting blue glow. Suddenly, the horrific visage of an illuminated burst from the shadows and leapt at Wu! Otherworldly claws ripped and tore at Wu’s body; only his years of training under Sensei Yu kept him alive. Each slash coming closer and closer. The final strike found purchase on his shoulder and gobbets of flesh were riven from his body. And in that’s a me moment, Kitty closed in.

He was trapped! But this was no ordinary man. Wu Xing was a senior student at the High River Temple. He has seen foes fall before him on countless occasions and this would be no different. Planting one hand on the ground, he spun his body as he let his legs fly in a deadly spiral. His foot making contact with the illuminated’s face. Bones shattered, skin split, and the remaining flesh burst into flames. Wu used the break in his momentum to focus his chi and unwind the torque he had built up in his body. As fast as the first strike had landed, the send foot closed in from the other side. Again, the sound of splintering bone and mangled flesh filled the air as more flesh roasted amongst the flames. This creature was no more. Only a charred husk of what it once was. For now, Wu Xing was safe. But for how long...

Memorable Moments: (Jack Daw used Suppressed Memories to deal 3 damage to a Nekima at 6 health, and triggered to place in base contact with her. He then used Whispered Truths with a trigger to deal 2 damage to Nekima, and Hayridden giving Hayridden and a blood hunter the slow condition. Finally Jack Daw killed Nekima with a Dead Man’s Collar melee attack. Scoring Assassinate for the game winning point.)

    Fiction version:
Like a moth to a flame, wherever there is injustice and suffering Jack Daw seems to appear. Nekima and her gang encountered the Hanged Man, surrounded by his tormented souls. Most people know when Daw shows up he brings pain and anguish with him. Just the sight of Daw flashed a long forgotten memory back to Nekima; the betrayal she felt when her sister, Lilith, tricked Nekima and stole the nephilim throne many years ago. In an instant Jack Daw was beside Nekima, and her gang. Jack began to whisper to Nekima, “It’s your fault Lilith has been banished. If you didn’t lose your throne all those years ago it would have been you trapped and your sister would be free. You are too weak to save Lilith, and are unfit to lead the nephilim now” Nekima’s resolve melted away and she relented to the Hanged Man, allowing him to drag her away to join his tormented followers.

Hayridden watched, powerless to stop Jack Daw, but he vowed to save his Queen if it was the last thing he did.
